VPP Suspension System

VPP Suspension System of LCFS948

LCFS948 carbon enduro frame is designed with VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) suspension system. There are two short links rotating in opposite direction, creating a virtual pivot point which moves during the whole suspension travel and affect axle path. Such system is the best balance of pedaling efficiency and damping performance, help you to keep at good speed and avoid unwanted wobbles.

Shock & Water Bottle Compatibility

Shock & Water Bottle Compatibility

In LCFS948, both linkages are placed at the lower side of frame, combining with specific designed seat tube shape to provide large clearance for shocks. Such linkage and shock placement also helps to lower the center of gravity for better stability, and leave enough room for water bottle.

Rear Shocks & Max 170mm Rear Travel

LCFS948 is designed to fit 210x55mm metric size rear shocks. Thanks to its large shock clearance, it is able to fit both air shocks and coil shocks, and either with or without piggyback. Compatible with both 29’’ and 27.5’’ wheels, fit max 29x2.6’’ or 650bx3.0’’ tires. The max rear travel can be reached is 170mm, which is sufficient for your whole All Mountain - Enduro trip. Besides, it is designed for 44mm offset front suspension fork with travel around 170mm.FOX Fload X and Fload X2 may not be installed due to the valve.

Leverage Ratio & Axle Path

LCFS948 Leverage Ratio and Axle Path

Shock leverage ratio shows the relationship between shock and rear wheel axle movement during the travel. LCFS948 is tuned to be more sensitive (feels relatively soft) in the initial part of travel. As the suspension goes further in its travel, more and more force is required in order to move the rear wheel further. At the last part of travel, the leverage ratio curve rise slightly, meaning the leverage slightly increases which helps overcome the naturalramp up from an air shock, and help you make the max use of available travel.

With main pivot being positioned in the downtube of front triangle, and a 440mm length chainstay, such design help to generate a more rearward wheel axle path in the initial stage. The rear wheel is able to move up and over bump easier (compared to those axle paths do not move rearward to the same degree).

Pedaling Efficiency

LCFS948 Anti-Squat and Pedal Kickback

Pedaling efficiency is about the efficiency of power transferring from rider to the rear wheel. It is mainly described by anti-squat and pedal kickback. LCFS948 enduro carbon frame is designed with more anti-squat, which makes it pedal more crisply, while relatively low pedal kickback that means less resistance for you to pedal forward faster.

Optimized Cable Routing

Optimized Cable Routing

Both rear brake and rear derailleur cables aregoingabove the main pivots on downtube, then enter the holes from the bottom side of seatstay. Such optimized cable routing provides a clean looking and avoid chafing and rattling. Even when rear shock is fully compressed, the cables remain where they belong, tidy and quiet.

UDH & Chain Guide

UDH and Chain Guide

Following the newest trend, LightCarbon LCFS948 Enduro frame is designed with UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) which is easy to be found when replacement is needed and is Sram T-Type compatible.

Chain guide is not that noticeable but critical! LightCarbon will include chain guide for our LCFS948 enduro frame, so you will not need to seek one by yourself. Just ride it with peace of mind, without worrying chain drop.
